Structured Business Communication
About This Course
In business, communication is key. Knowing how to get your message across enables all internal and external stakeholders, team members, and colleagues to be on the same page. This involves knowing what to say, how to say it, and interpreting what isn’t being spoken out loud.
In this live, virtual, experiential workshop, participants will learn about the best practices to follow when communicating in business, adjusting tone and body language according to the context, and structuring written communication for maximum impact. They will also reflect on their key learnings at the end of the program.
Skill Drill 1: Structuring Written Communication
In this application-oriented skill drill, participants will be taken through the tools and concepts for effective written communication in a business setting. They will be given various examples and will have to fill in their workbooks simultaneously as the workshop progresses.
Skill Drill 2: Verbal Communication
This skill drill is about looking at the concepts introduced earlier and applying them to structure verbal communication. Here, participants will be taken through case studies and roleplay activities to understand the impact of tone and body language when communicating in a workplace.
